Advanced "Siglizing" for Love!

Hello Lovelies!

It's been a long time. I have been so busy, but I was just teaching in Temple Teachings about Sigil Magick, and I came up with something everyone loved, so I thought I would share it!

First, I must confess that everything I know about Magick comes from someone else. I have been blessed to know Lon Milo DuQuette for too many years—like over 20!! How crazy is that?

Gordon White, who is also a dear friend, taught me advanced sigil work. The only part that is truly mine is this shoal. But it is a goody, so I am sharing it karma-free with credit to those who credit is due!

I am sure you all know about Sigils, those delightful bite-sized magickal commands to the Universe devised by artist and occultist Austin Osman Spare. Still, I have included a brief and simplified overview, so feel free to skip ahead.

What is Sigil Magick?

Sigil magick is a practice within chaos magick in which symbols are crafted to embody a specific intent or desire. By charging the sigil with energy, you can harness the subconscious mind's "autopilot function" to influence reality and manifest your goal.

The subconscious manages many aspects of life effortlessly, handling routines and reactions without conscious thought, allowing the conscious mind to focus on present tasks. Through sigilization, the subconscious adopts a new pattern, subtly guiding decisions and actions toward achieving the desired outcome. It's a fascinating and powerful method of manifestation! Very cool eh!

Here's how it typically works:

1. Formulating the Intent: The practitioner starts by creating a clear and specific statement of their desire. This could be something like "I attract abundance" or "I experience joy."

1. Creating the Sigil: The words in the statement are then transformed into a symbolic form. A common method is to remove the vowels and repeating letters from the sentence, then combine the remaining consonants into a symbol. The final sigil is a unique, personal design.

2. Charging the Sigil: The practitioner charges the sigil by focusing intense energy on it. Charging can be done through meditation, ecstatic states, orgasms, or other altered states of consciousness. The idea is to imbue the sigil with the emotional and mental energy behind the desire.

3. Releasing and Forgetting: Once the sigil is charged, the practitioner lets go of the desire by either discarding it or forgetting about it. This step is crucial as it allows the unconscious mind to work without interference from conscious desires.

4. Manifestation: Over time, the intention represented by the sigil is believed to manifest in the practitioner's life.

Easy peasy and this is why I teach it. It is a great, lets say, introduction to magick for those who are magickally curious : )

But here is the fun part that Gordon White taught me...SHOALING!

Shoaling, the super fun advanced technique!

You may not have noticed, but often, we hold beliefs that can confuse or downright prevent our commands to the Universe from coming to fruition. This is because, unlike a beautifully tuned orchestra, our minds tend to sound more like the warm-up stage before the concert begins! We have all kinds of contradicting beliefs and fears, and you name it, that can get in the way. As Shonagh Home taught me, you need to get your mind right first!

If you do not know what I mean here are a few examples of things that can live in your head in not so perfect harmony

Independence vs. Dependence:

• Belief in absolute independence and self-sufficiency.

• Desire for a deeply dependent, intertwined relationship.

Career First vs. Relationship First:

• Belief that career and personal ambitions should always come first.

• Desire to prioritize relationship and family above all else.

Fear of Vulnerability vs. Need for Intimacy:

• Belief that showing vulnerability is a sign of weakness.

• Desire for deep emotional intimacy and connection.

Fear of Rejection vs. Desire for Love:

• Strong fear of being rejected or hurt in relationships.

• Deep longing for love and companionship.

Need for Control vs. Desire for Equality:

• Belief in maintaining control over all aspects of life, including relationships.

• The desire for an equal, balanced partnership.

These are the kinds of things that can mess you up! But, the truth is, if we are going to be honest, working through all that stuff can take years, so here is where shoaling MAY help! Magick them away using a shoal!!

A shoal, in the context of both fish behavior and sigil magic, is a group that moves without a specific goal but follows the movement of its members, especially if one member seems to have found something worth pursuing. This collective and somewhat aimless movement can shift to a purposeful one if a clear goal emerges, turning the shoal into a school. What I mean is there is always one fish that looks like he has a plan, and he goes right, say, and all the other fish follow....and so it is the power of that determined and certain little fish that Gordon calls a Robofish that we wish to create in sigil form! Sounds like a plan?

To create your shoal, you'll first need to know your goal. Meditate on it and form it within your mind, define it, and sigilize it. Then, think of what it is you need to overcome and what could help your goal. For example, 'I am free of any and all debt' is a great statement for someone aiming to purchase a new house, as is 'My real estate agent is efficient, knowledgeable, and affordable.' Also throw a few 'nice to have' sigils in there: something that's a nice extra but not necessary to the goal. Running with our house example, 'My property is clean when I take possession' would be fantastic.

And the Robofish!

The robofish is nearly indispensable. It serves to guide the sigil shoal towards manifestation faster and is very helpful to set as a habit. The robofish should be constructed from a statement of intent regarding something very likely to happen. I personally use the command 'I drink tea tomorrow' for all of my shoals, each sigilized differently. . Because it is so likely to happen, the robofish becomes the leader of our shoal of sigils, swimming away from it (becoming realized) and inciting the rest of its members to follow in its path, transforming the shoal into a school with a clear goal: manifestation.

So just like when you get married, you need...." Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe."

Here is what you need magickally to get there : )

1) Your GOAL

2) a "Helps achieve your goal."

3) a or several "Something you need to overcome."

4) a "Nice to have."

5) and a ROBOFISH! That little guy has certainty! For me it is always...' I drink tea tomorrow.' because, simply, I will die if I do not have my tea!

OK so then now we have got it, here's an example of a set of intentions I'd include in a shoal to find love:

'I am in a committed, loving, healthy relationship that fulfils me.' - GOAL

'I attract those I am attracted to.' - Helps achieve your goal.

'I am attractive to many.' - Helps achieve your goal.

'Jealousy stays far from me.' - Something you need to overcome.

'My family loves my significant other, and theirs loves me.' - Nice to have.

'I am confident when interacting with those I am attracted to.' - Nice to have.

'I meet many people through many friends.' - Helps you achieve your goal.

'I only attract those of like-mind, and those who share my interests.' - Something you need to overcome.

'I drink tea tomorrow.' - Robofish. Make sure you actually drink tea the next day!

As time goes on and the events begin unfolding, I may intuitively swap out sigils for other intents or add and remove sigils according to my needs at the time.

And yes, it is a lot of work, but then GIGO rules apply to the Universe! So give it a try and let me know how it goes!
